App Store Error 1009 still exists in Sudan despite of Sudan sanctions being liftet from today 17 January.
Why we still getting error 1009 in Sudan?
How much time should be passed before apple solve this issue?
There isn't an iTunes Store in Sudan, which means that you must currently have a different country on your account (you have to be in a country to use its store) - until if/when Apple open an iTunes Store there (you already know that you are only talking to fellow users on here, we won't know if/when that might happen until Apple announce something) and you can put your real address on your account, or you move to a country that has an iTunes Store, you won't be able to download iTunes content.

But actually this error 1009 appears only in sanctioned countries. For example there is no apple store in most African countries. But they don't get error 1009.
So, Sudan sanctions has been lifted from today. That is why we expect that we can download free apps without getting this error.
Whether or not there are sanctions doesn't really matter, you are violating the store's terms by trying to use a country's store when not in that country - Apple should permanently disable the account.
hi. i am using iphone 6 and recently updated my IOS to the latest version which has been available in apple.com
however i am still facing to error 1009 despite the update.what should i do? by the way i am using this device in iran not to sudan.

Yes,I know but there isn't the Persian region in the apple devices and we have to use the u.s region or other.for example my iPhone,yesterday I bought this iPhone 7plus and I used the u.s region.I couldn't download any apps for this device and that's just because of the error 1009.I hope apple adds the Persian region soon🙏-1F3FB;
Wait until you get back to the country that you have listed as the country on your account, you can then download your app updates.
For me, sudan is not my permanent residence county. But when I visit Sudan i always get this error.
