Since the upgrade to iOS 10.2, #images shows the message "Could not load results." everytime I attempt to use it. Up to the point where I upgraded, I was able to see and use the images and gifs here. I live in the U.S., and everything is turned on in the Appstore to allow this. What's missing?

I’ve found the solution myself.
It says “the connection appears to be offline” when I searched for a GIFs image.
So what I did was, I figured to turn on any possible apps data that I turned off. And I found “HashtagImage”
So, go to Settings > Mobile Data > Turn on “Hashtag Image”.
Happy to send GIFs without WiFi!

All seems ok now. Apple must have fixed it! I hope it lasts. Also downloaded Giphy and its good! Thanks to all who made suggestions!
Go to Settings Messages turn iMessage off then back on again!
Turned iMessage on and off as per t0minat0r's suggestion. However I did try this when the issue first appeared and it didn't work so I don't know how long it will last!!
Haven't had to do anything my end. Just opened iMessage this morning and saw it was back and working.

Where are you located? Did you change format region to U.S. to make it work or it just came back on its own? Which means Apple really fixed the problem. Would be nice to know. Thank you.
I tried everything and nothing helped...for me it started working again on its own.

just go to store and download the app GIF KEYBOARD, and it will work
My mom experienced this same problem recently. After much frustration, she simply decided to turn the phone off and on again. For us, after that, the problem was solved.
Experiencing sane thing, issue began today my 7 and two iphone 6s at home as well.
No suggestions in this thread have worked for us.
