I have a similar issue where my watch face changes on its own but it's not to a different watch face. It changes the style on my current watch face. I use the "Utility" watch face and within it, there are 4 different styles to choose from. That is what keeps changing on its own for me. Any suggestion?

Whilst Apple has pulled back the watchOS 3.1.1 update (pending resolving an issue that affected some users), the update included a fix for dials not appearing on analogue watch faces after changing the temperature unit in the Weather app.

Restart both your iPhone and your watch:
Unpair and re-pair your watch:
That does not explain, why the style of the watch face keeps changing, or does it? stbypax would need to have several versions of the Utility face with several styles in the list of faces that appear when swiping. I have not seen a single other case where accidental swipes across the watch face could change the customized style of the face, only if there is more than one version of the face in the list of faces we set up.
