Apple Music support for Android 7.0

I recently bought a Huawei Mate 9, running Android 7.0. When trying to install the Apple Music App from the Play Store, a banner informs me that my device is incompatible for Apple Music.

While I can't find a definitive post somewhere on complete compatibility list, my question is :

1. Is Apple Music compatible with Android 7? (It appears that many users report it working with Android 7. But not specifically stating the device in use)

2. If so are there certain handsets with Android 7 that are supported while others are not?
