Unless your phone does not support certain networks because of hardware that is not installed, because you bought the iPhone in a country where the local cellular networks use a different bandwidth to broadcast their signal, I can see no reason why the hardware should fail, crossing a border within Europe.
If your iPhone 7 is a model A1778, it should also support following carriers in Sweden:
3, Tele2, Telenor and Telia
as well as your local Austrian carriers:
3, A1 and T-mobile

You should try the general troubleshooting mentioned in this article first:
If you can't connect to a cellular network or cellular data - Apple Support
If you look at the carrier name / network in the left corner above, does it show the foreign mobile network name you are connected to?
Are you trying to use LTE network? If yes, what if you switch back to 3G in Settings/Cellular?
Any restrictions set up in Settings/General/Restrictions? If yes, disable them and try again.

This I've already done! Problem already exists - and now - I'm back in Austria - the Iphone works without any problems. I called my carrier and they told me it must be a hardware failure of the Iphone, but as i was in Sweden i tried also the manual serach and every possible carrier was found - but not connected? Any Idea? Thank you
This has got to be a carrier problem, the poor phone is innocent of all charges.
I'm guessing the SIM's carrier does not exist in Sweden AND said carrier has no interconnection arrangements with any of Sweden's carriers. Or if it works only when Roaming is enabled, then there's some nasty collusion there and you will be charged thru the nose!

Iphone 7: No Network connection in Sweden. Sim and Roaming is functional(checked at another Iphone). iphone works in Germany and also in Austria? any Idea?
