ipad screen glitchy

Hello good day, afternoon, night.

Today i went to the store and left my ipad pro 9.7 charging with the original charger and when i came home and tried to unlock it the screen was all glitchy and i could do nothing on the screen.

I tried rebooting pressing home + power but that didn't work at all, the screen just goes off and after a while turns on but still glichting.

The ipad detects the charger and i guess it charges and itunes (on windows) also detects the ipad but i cant restore it because it says i have to unlock the ipad first but i can't unlock it.

Any help would be aprecieted, thank you.

iPad Pro 9.7-inch WiFi, iOS 10.2.1

when you say "it" it sounds like you're only pressing one button.

you need to press and holdtwo buttons

Home Button
Sleep/Wake/Lock button.

Hold them pressed until apple logo appears on middle of screen.

yes i pressed both buttons at the same time for a minute.

i saw in another post to leave the ipad charging for about 5 hours and then try to reboot.

it's charging then i'll see if it works, if it doesn't i'll go to an apple store.
