my general settings app has disappeared from my iphone 7 plus

By default, "Settings" app cannot be deleted or removed. So check in App folders, as sometimes it can accidentally be misplaced or moved into another folder.

Then restore the software: Restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch from a backup
