connect to Yamaha RX-V779 using hdmi cable

I just got a Yamaha RX-V779 receiver and I want to connect my imac to it. How would I do this so I can play movies from my Mac to Pioneer Pro 940HD tv.

iMac (Retina 4K, 21.5-inch, Late 2015), iOS 10.2.1

thunderbolt to -> hdmi adaptor would be the way to go

I have the adaptor, it is just the hook up to the receiver (which one) and from it to the tv.
