How do I get the Containers folder (in Users/myname/Library/Containers) to not be hidden?

I have a mid 2011 iMac running Sierra 10.12.2.

I'm not sure which update changed things, but I am no longer able to navigate to the Containers folder (in Library). It doesn't come up when searching within Finder either.

But searching for any filenames stored anywhere within Containers finds the file and includes Containers in the displayed path.

As far as I can tell, I have unhidden everything that I can. How can I get Containers to show/unhide when navigating from Library?

Thanks

Click on go > to go folder and type ~/Library/Containers opens containers with related files ( User library )

User uploaded file

But if you type : /Library/Containers the container folder never exists in system library by default .

Already tried that. Doesn't work.

Explain what happens whey you try the following.

Select the following (triple-click the line to select the entire line) then control-click, and from the contextual menu select Services > Reveal in Finder:

~/Library/Containers

A Finder window should open, with that folder already selected. Does it?

Hello cmwinnc,

To reiterate what Terence asked, what are you trying to do in the Containers folder? macOS has many (hundreds, actually) processes running in the background at all times. A number of these processes specifically deal with the application sandbox - the Containers folder. The system is not designed to support direct access to the Containers folder. You are risking crashes, bugs, and loss of data by interfering.

How do I get the Containers folder (in Users/myname/Library/Containers) to not be hidden?
