Thinking about this a bit more, there is a way to rotate the screen without having to move the iPad at all.

Go to Settings->General->Accessibility->Assistive Touch and turn it on. This will add a virtual button on screen. You can drag it around to where you would like it to be.

Tap on "Customize Top Level Menu" and then tap on [+] button below the icon layout.

This will add an icon to the Assistive Touch Menu. Tap the larger [+] in the icon layout and you can then customize this button to have the Rotate Screen option.

With that done, you can exit Settings, and when you need to rotate the screen tap on the Assistive touch onscreen button. One of the options there will be to rotate screen. Tap on it and you'll get four rotation options. Choose Left or Right to rotate the screen so the client can see the form right side up.

Repeat to rotate the screen back, or lift the iPad towards you.

The iPad display will usually rotate so the the bottom of the image aligns with the lowest side of the device. There isn't a method or app to rotate independently of this feature. If you have problems with the orientation changing when you don't want it to then turn orientation lock on and physically present the device in the correct orientation for the client.

iPad displays already rotate when the iPad itself is flipped or rotated as long as the Rotation lock is not active in Control Center. There's no app needed for it.

However some Apps may not support screen rotation. Does the app you are using actually support rotation?

There's no way to force an App to rotate if it does not support rotation. You would need to contact the App developer and request they enable rotation for their App.

Hi

I know all the things you're saying, thanks

But what I was wondering was if there is an app or a way to rotate the display without flipping the device, as we are able to do with a sheet of paper.

I will out the form and turn it to the person sitting in front of me that he's able to read and sign.

Would be a great feature/app, especially for the ipad pro, then it could really be use as notepad. Right now it is hard because i use my ipad with a portfolio sleeve...

I don't understand. A Piece of paper needs to be rotated for the person on the other side to see it right side up.

It may not need to be lifted from the table but it needs to be rotated.

The iPad Pro will rotate the screen if you simply tilt it up maybe 30 degrees and lay it back down.

Or you can simply rotate the entire iPad on the table like you would a piece of paper assuming its laying flat on the table.

What exactly does the iPad not do for you?

I'm confused.
