Safari web page jumps

Whenever I visit particular websites (several, built in different ways), my browser position periodically jumps a bit. This also happens on both my MacBook Pro and my Mac Mini.


I can't get past the notion this is somehow related to something corrupted in my user account (I'm the administrator). When I test it via 'Guest Account', I see none of the frustrating browser behavior.


Help?

Truly weird. Yeah, sorry can't reset keyboard defaults. You could perhaps delete the US keyboard and then reinstall it (not sure though, on my phone right now and no MacBook in front of me)... Is it possible you accidental created a custom key combination somewhere (even a single key) that is making it jump?


Does it happen when you scroll or type? Not my area of expertise but just trying to isolate variables before saying it's a hardware issue, ya know?

Wow, ok definitely not your doing then. That is truly bizarre. Sorry no one else is helping. This isn't my area of expertise but it sounds like something very funky. Try running this program in your normal account , then copy and paste the output in a reply. The program was created by etresoft, a frequent contributor. Please use copy and paste as screen shots can be hard to read. On the screen with Options, please open Options and check the bottom 2 boxes before running. Click “Share Report” button in the toolbar, select “Copy Report” and then paste into a reply. This will show what is running on your computer. No personal information is shown.

Try uninstalling the above using the Developer's uninstall instructions. If the same, try reinstalling.


You have adware installed. Run the report again and where you see the red Adware, click Remove. Once complete, run the report again and post a copy into a new reply.

The above keeps crashing. Try uninstalling the above using the Developer's uninstall instructions.


Try restarting Safari with the shift key held down. Try going to Safari/Preferences/Security and uncheck Allow Plug-ins. Quit and reopen Safari. If Safari works normally, Safari/Preferences/Security Plug-in Settings and uncheck all plug-ins. Then Allow Plug-ins and recheck them one at a time until you find the problem.


If the above doesn't work, go to your hard drive level Library/Internet Plug-ins and move them to the Desktop. Restart Safari. If that works, copy the Desktop files back one at a time until you find the problem.


If still no luck, make your user Library visible and repeat the above. Go to Finder and select your user/home folder. With that Finder window as the front window, either select Finder/View/Show View options or go command - J. When the View options opens, check ’Show Library Folder’. That should make your user library folder visible in your user/home folder. Select Library/Internet Plug-ins.
