How to get my Condenser mic to work on GarageBand?

So I recently bought a MacBook it was pretty cheap and it isn't brand new or anything, I also bought a NW-700 Condenser Microphone off amazon the mic came with a XLR cable to 3.5 mm jack that hooks into a USB that hooks into my MacBook. I bought a phantom power box that came with a XLR cable that hooks it up to the mic. Now I feel like I've done all the steps right.

-I set the mic up, connected the mic to the phantom power with the XLR cable.

-Then I hooked the Phantom Power up to the USB the mic came with, with the XLR to 3.5 mm cable.

-Then I put the USB into the MacBook.

The little USB piece has a jack for the 3.5 mm mic cable and for some earphones. But when I hook it to my computer I can't record my audio to GarageBand nor hear any audio through the earphones.

When I go to sound and input settings on my MacBook the mic seems to pic up little to no sound. I need help!
