What does apple plus insurance really cover?

Because apparently it does not cover accidental Issues!

There is no such thing as Apple Plus Insurance.

Apple does not offer Insurance at all, its not an Insurance company.

What Apple Offers is manufacturer's Warranty. 1 year of limited coverage for parts and manufacturing issues. Accidental damage is not covered because there's no way accidental damage can be attributed to the manufacturer in any way.

Apple Care+ Is a warranty extension. Again, this is not insurance.

Apple Care + extends the regular 1 year warranty for another year on devices, and 2 years on Mac computers.

Apple Care +, offers 2 instances of accidental damage coverage for a reduced fee.

Apple has never promoted AppleCare as "insurance"!

AppleCare and AppleCare+ are Apple's limited manufacturing warranties against certain manufacturing issues, defects/damage/accidental damage.

AppleCare+ for iDevices must be purchased within 60 days of an initial iDevice purchase and extends the warranty time to a total of two years.

AppleCare+ for iDevices DOES cover 2 instances of accidental damage (1 instance per year) with a nominal fee.

Accidental damage is covered NOT theft or loss of device.

AppleCare+ for an Apple computer can be/must be purchased before the 1st free year of AppleCare expires.

AppleCare for Apple computers extends the warranty period out to a total of 3 years.

Apple Store employees I have dealt with usually and clearly spell out what AppleCare covers and does NOT cover.

They don't sell you AppleCare as a product "insurance policy".

Apple employees are trained to know what AppleCare is and what it covers.

Insurance is very specific, and has very specific legal bindings to it.

Apple cannot, would not and has not ever said Apple Care+ is insurance. If you mistakenly thought you were being sold insurance, the mistake is yours.

There's a very important legal difference between Insurance and Warranty.
