mac mini and 50 inch display

I have played around with all of the resolutions settings and can not get the entire screen to show up on my 50 inch NEC plasma. While the mac is usable, I am blinding using the mouse to navigate to the top menu selections. Any suggestions on how to get everything to show up?

mac mini, Mac OS X (10.4.8)

Hopefully there is a way to correct this through your television's menu system because there is no reliable way of controlling overscan from a Mac other than the simple checkbox that shows up when connected to some displays.

are you aware that it's not really supported anything above 23 inch that requires dual link DVI? This may be the issue...just a thought

Agree, mac mini doesn't support resolution above 23, let alone 50 (well that depends on the resolution I think... 1024x768 on a 50 inch TV set might work but not-viewable)
