How do you remove the pop-up spin the lucky wheel? Is it a virus on my iPhone 6s?

Thank you, I will do that. My other concern is how it happened in the first place, the iPhone has always been so reliable. I used to have an android many years ago, I loved it but it crashed and I couldn't rely on it. The iPhone has never let me down. If you have any ideas to keep my phone more secure I'd appreciate any advice. Thank you again.

You're welcome. The popup messages you saw, in no way indicates an issue with the phone. Unfortunately, there will always be scammers that will try to trick innocent folks into divulging their personal or financial information. The main thing to remember is that any such message, whether it is telling you have won a gazillion dollars, or telling you your computer is infected, they will always be a scam, always.
