Little red exclamation marks in calendar

I'm trying to figure out why I'm getting the little red exclamation marks next to my calendars in iCal. I'm subscribing to an iCal calendar from my daughter's high school and the events show up on my MBP but not in my iCal on my iPhone. I've looked at the settings and everything seems right. Any ideas?

While the icons when you go into the calendars screen are i's, the icon in front of the Calendar button is clearly a ! I don't think this is normal since I've not noticed it before - it surely shouldn't be normal. An exclamation point icons is NOT an icon to signify everything is fine - it should be used to get your attention that something is wrong.

Hello,

Try these steps:

Can’t see your calendar subscription?

  • Before you can see a calendar subscription on all your devices, subscribe to the calendar on your Mac first. If you subscribe to the calendar on your iOS device, iCloud won't update it to your other devices.
  • Check that your iOS device and Mac are signed in to iCloud with the same Apple ID.
  • If you visit iCloud.com or are using Microsoft Outlook, you won't see your subscribed calendars updated with iCloud.
  • If you restore your calendarsfrom iCloud.com, you'll need to subscribe to your calendars again.
