Cannot add Google to internet accounts

What I did is:

• Open Keychain Access, search 'Google' and 'Gmail' entries, delete all of them.
• In My Account web go to Mange Apps under Privacy and Security, delete OS X access.
• Delete my Google account under Mac Preference.
• Restart your Mac.
• Add the account under Preference.

Hope this works for you.

The post from wessel@techtribe got me past my Google login issue with Mac Calendar app. I have a Two-Factor Auth. Instead of disabling Two-Factor Auth, I only deleted the Google objects in my 'login' Keychain. Once I did that, I was prompted again to enter my Google credentials, but this time it worked!

Exactly the same here, on multiple Mac OS 10.12.3 machines with different google accounts... wondering if it's a problem with this version of Sierra or with google? I never had this problem before.

Its happening in my system also , when I go to connection doctor , IMAP and SMTP for google accounts is showing red , and if I open system preferences > internet accounts the same blank window is showing , I thought its fault of my service provider , providing me slow network speed .

It seems like a server issue , and waiting that it will be fine after some hours .

Same here - with multiple google accounts (personal and G Suite) on multiple Macs. It seems likely it is a Google problem - I think they are responsible for serving the pages that appear in the login popup window. Waiting for a Google Sync expert to get back in touch...

In a chat with google they confirmed it's a known issue. As a workaround they suggested to add mail via 'add other mail account' in Apple Mail. Which doesn't solve calender of course... but for mail it worked for me.

Click on go > to go folder & type ~/Library find a folder caches , cookies delete the ENTIRE 2 FOLDER Into the trash , also delete the files of saved application state .

Also , click on go > to go folder and type /Library delete the WHOLE FOLDER of caches into the trash .

Restart , the system & empty the trash .

Open mail application from the dock , take cursor on top menu bar , mail > click on add accounts > a window appears check the box of google , it will prompt to enter your gmail id and password , so please enter it .

When you click on window > connection doctor you will see green dots in front of IMAP google account & SMTP account .

Note : You will notice once your gmail account is configured , it will take time to download all of your mails in your mail box & it will depend upon your network speed .

Yupp... seems they finally fixed it so it works for me two.

This is the most terrible error in a long time. Apple and Google seriously should at least communicate these king of things with each other ... it´s not easy to be a IT guy specialised in Google and Apple these days ;P

You might be right... but still... this was a looong time we had to wait for it to get fixed. But as you say, everything can start messing because of some update either of the companies did, and that they did not expect to affect a important thing like this 🙂

Same problem; it manifested after I changed my Gmail password two days ago, where macOS Mail (desktop) would no longer complete the login, and would just hang on this blank grey window. iOS Mail was unaffected. I routed my VPN to US (I'm in Canada) and was then able to successfully login on macOS Mail.

to see, if the problem is on mac os / apple calendar i tried the same with the calendar app "Fantastical 2" and it works. So Apple should really urgently fix this as if i and many more would really like to use apple's own apps.

I have this problem too MacOS Sierra(10.12.3 (16D32)). Moreover making some tests I deleted the gmail accounts on my iPhone iOS 10.2., and now I'm not able to add them there too.

I hope there will be a fix for this soon.
