.vcs won't import into iCal

I have a .vcs file (see example below) that iCal won't allow me to import. It trys to import the file with no results, in other words, there's a quick progress bar, but no events are visible in my calendar.

Well, after spending many hours on this issue, I figured out the problem. It had to do with an error within the .vcs file as reported by Console:

2006-12-26 17:30:37.913 iCal[195] Non entity-name keyword 'VEVENT ' at line 5
2006-12-26 17:30:37.913 iCal[195] Unknown entity type: VEVENT at line 5.
2006-12-26 17:30:37.913 iCal[195] Wrong context to end a event.
2006-12-26 17:30:37.913 iCal[195] Non entity-name keyword 'VCALENDAR ' at line 11
2006-12-26 17:30:37.913 iCal[195] Unknown entity type: VCALENDAR .

I retrieved this from console and it took me a while to figure out what I had to to make things right. The first line basically says that there's an extra space after VEVENT that shouldn't be there, which is also the situation in the VCALENDAR line. I used TextEdit to replace all spaces and the import was flawless.

I am having the same issue and oddly enough I am at UFCD. Anywho, I do no see the extra spaces. I am sure that you are better at this than I. Any thoughts?

Search for "Console" in spolight and open it. Clear any data in the console, and then try importing that calendar into iCal again. When you're done you should see a error log of your import. Copy a portion of the log and paste it into a new post, then we'll take it from there.
