Why isn't my Apple Music working on my iPhone or iPad?

I am a member of a family plan but when I try to play my downloaded music, it prompts me to choose a plan. My iPad is updated to version 10.2 and my iPhone 10.0.2. However, my iPod plays them but is not updated to 10

Does a member of the family have a family membership for Apple Music? You can't share an individual plan.
