how i find stolen macbook?

Hi, since 4 months a go, somebody broke in my store and take my MacBook. I had it password locked and also I activate the iCloud lock, there is other way to try to find it? I suppose since that day, nobody turn it on, because iCloud is still waiting for the computer get connected to internet.

A Mac does not have an "Activation Lock" per se. That is an iOS specific lock. However, if your Mac comes back online at any point in time, and you have initiated the Lock command, the Mac will shut down, and cannot be booted again without the Lock Code you set.


I do not know specifically if there is any way to get around the Lost Mode lock. Just remember, everything you read on the internet is not a fact....

Sorry, not sure what you are referring to? Macs cannot be Activation Locked, if that is what you are referring to. You can put a Lock on the Mac so that when it is turned on it requires a login passcode, and you can also include a message with that lock passcode. You can erase the Mac remotely as well. Both of these option will not take place until the Mac is online.


Beyond that, there is not a lot else you can do.
