Apple Pay in Hungary?

Does anyone know if and when Apple Pay will make its official debut in Hungary? Perhaps via MasterCard or VISA? Oddly enough, virtually all POS terminals in Hungary support Apple Pay as anyone with Apple Pay set up on their iPhones or Apple Watch with a bank card issued in an Apple Pay supported bank / country can transact in Hungary. I see many Americans for example using Apple Pay here, but for those of us living here with local bank relationships, this still seems like a distant dream...
