Where can I find my current background picture on iPhone

I use a photo as background for my iPhone which I do not have in my photo library anymore. I do not have it on my computer either. It is a very old picture which I took once and cannot retake. I would like to know how to retrieve the file (background file?) from my iPhone and store it as photo again. I need it since I need to reinstall my iPhone due to an issue with one of the apps.

Thanks a lot for helping.

I would suggest backing up your device to your computer, then searching through the backup generated on your computer. Be sure not to use an encrypted backup for this purpose.

This may take some time but I think that this is the only way.

If you are on a mac then you can find the backup's here ~/Library/Application Support/MobileSync/Backups

I don't think you can retrieve it. If you don't have it stored anywhere then it will be lost the next time you switch to a different wallpaper. It should be in your backup though, so you if restore from backup it should still be there as your wallpaper.

Restoring the phone because one app is acting up seems very drastic. Are you sure it's necessary?

Yes, some of the apps are fooling around with the sound. Creating kind of sometimes this, than that errors. Like sometimes no sound via headphones (and of course checked with different ones, etc), sometimes braking up sound via bluetooth, sometimes it can be solved by choosing sound via the speaker and then go back to the original (headphones or normal). Sometimes it cannot be solved... And it is a brand new iPhone. Genius bar even checked it up to their possibilities.

So this seems the thing to do. But not before I have found the picture of my background. I'm very attached to it.
