IPad flashes red when trying to update

My iPad Air 2 screen flashes from the logo screen to red when I try to update or restore and comes up with the error code 4013. I have reinstalled iTunes, changed cables, tried different PC's. Any other suggestions welcome.

iPad Air 2 WiFi, Cellular

If you see error 9, 4005, 4013, or 4014 when you restore your iOS device - Apple Support

No suggestions at all from the Apple Store? I would have asked for the manager. Try calling Apple Support.

I have tried that but still no joy. Went to the Apple store and they were as much use as a chocolate fireguard!!!
