Will Apple notice if an iPhone screen was from another iPhone (but still original)?

If I replace an iPhone screen for a same screen from another iPhone (example: I replace an iPhone 6s screen for another original iPhone 6s screen of the same colour). Will Apple notice the difference if such an iPhone comes to them for repair?.

I'm thinking of any model from iPhone 5 upwards.

I also wonder how this would apply to other Apple devices and macs.

iPhone 6, iOS 10.1.1

Not true at all, and there are hundreds of posts here going back many years that demonstrate otherwise. Apple typically will not service, at all, any device that has been worked on by anyone other than Apple employees or the employees of their Authorized service centers.

See http://www.apple.com/legal/warranty/products/ios-warranty-document-us.html, and specifically, this opening section and item (f):

This Warranty does not apply: (a) to consumable parts, such as batteries or protective coatings that are designed to diminish over time, unless failure has occurred due to a defect in materials or workmanship; (b) to cosmetic damage, including but not limited to scratches, dents and broken plastic on ports unless failure has occurred due to a defect in materials or workmanship; (c) to damage caused by use with a third party component or product that does not meet the Apple Product’s specifications (Apple Product specifications are available at www.apple.com under the technical specifications for each product and also available in stores); (d) to damage caused by accident, abuse, misuse, fire, liquid contact, earthquake or other external cause; (e) to damage caused by operating the Apple Product outside Apple’s published guidelines; (f) to damage caused by service (including upgrades and expansions) performed by anyone who is not a representative of Apple or an Apple Authorized Service Provider (“AASP”); (g) to an Apple Product that has been modified to alter functionality or capability without the written permission of Apple; (h) to defects caused by normal wear and tear or otherwise due to the normal aging of the Apple Product; ℹ if any serial number has been removed or defaced from the Apple Product; or (j) if Apple receives information from relevant public authorities that the product has been stolen or if you are unable to deactivate passcode-enabled or other security measures designed to prevent unauthorized access to the Apple Product, and you cannot prove in any way that you are the authorized user of the product (eg. by presenting proof of purchase).

That's what I was thinking this morning after posting the question, I worded it improperly and sounds low.

I cannot edit it now.

I'm servicing iPhones and I can replace the screen leaving no trace, this question sounds so low that I don't even dare ask Apple.

We have a couple of screens here that work fine I thought what would happen if I replaced the cracked screen on my iPhone with one of these.

I have no idea what will actually happen since I cannot evaluate your work nor predict the future. But Apple's policy has traditionally been that they will not service a device that has been previously serviced by non-Apple trained and Authorized personal. The determination of whether Apple finds evidence of such previous work would be up to Apple and nobody here can speak for them nor know what things they may actually check for to determine such things.

Of course if the phone is out of warranty or just plain old, that may not even be a consideration to someone just trying to resurrect an old device with parts already and freely available to them? If it's a case of basically nothing to loose (from your perspective) then the whole issue may be moot.

Yes, Apple will know that the phone was disassembled by an unauthorized party. Doing so will permanently forfeit all rights to service or support on that device. If you're not telling your 'customers' that up front, you are doing them a huge disservice.

The fact that an iPhone has been serviced by anyone, doesn't necessarily void the warranty; in most cases it doesn't void the warranty. For example, if you repair your iPhone yourself such as for example, buying a fake screen on eBay, and your iPhone develops an issue later, such as the speaker not working, or the isight camera not working properly. Apple will respect the warranty. (not so if it's the battery, Apple won't service iPhones with non-Apple batteries, I'm not sure why).

Sorry. You're completely wrong.
