I press command-R and a black padlock comes up with a white bar below.

Apple helped me change my forgotten App;e ID password , now I want to download a new version of Adobe

Reader and I cannot install it .This an early 2011 MBP and I cannot change my computer password,I cannot

find it anywhere. I am using Yosemite 10.10.5. richard

This is a firmware password.
