My Ipad Mini 2 are not charging

It's been a week since i didn't used my ipad for the reason of i have my iphone and i think it was fully drained and when i try to plug it to the wall charger it wont charge i dont know what to do. Please help thanks!

The charger for you iPhone will not work, at least not fast. It is a 5 watt charger whereas most iPads require a 12 watt charger.

This article may help. You may have to take it to an Apple Store and have the battery checked.

Li-ion batteries do not like to be totally discharged and often go bad when they are. Please see the attached User Tip for details. If the iPad does not charge after several hours try a different charger and cable. If still the same it is likely that the battery is damaged and would have to be replaced.
