Is it possible to have a cell in one document reference a cell in another.
There are several instances where I'd like to do this, but one example would be to have the monthly income cell in my budget document change when the average of all my paychecks YTD change in my paycheck document.
Well, isn't that what you asked for above?
I want to have the information in Document 1, Sheet 1, Table 1, Cell A2 added to Document 2, Sheet 1, Table 1, Cell A2.
If you've got the scripts working there I think you have enough to experiment and add the logic you want. Hope this has been helpful.

I figured it out. I removed (tgtCell's value) + from the last line and it worked.
tell application "Numbers"
set srcCell to document "MyTestDoc1.numbers"'s sheet 1's table 1's cell "A2"
set tgtCell to document "MyTestDoc2.numbers"'s sheet 1's table 1's cell "A2"
set tgtCell'svalueto (srcCell'svalue)
end tell
Glad the script is working on your end! It seems a little fiddly in the beginning but once you get used to the routine you'll find that scripts can make lots of things easier.
This simple approach works well for moving a single value from one document to another. If you end up having to move several values you could just add additional lines that are similar to the ones in the example.
If you have a lot then you would want to consider a "handler" (or function in JavaScript) that can be called repeatedly.

you can sanitize the information by duplicating your sheet or table, then change the data to it is safe to post while preserving the structure and other essential information.
I guess I worded it wrong, it should have been replace not add, but I did figure it out from there.
