PS4 NAT Type

I have been having a lot of troubles trying to get a open NAT type (NAT type 1) on the playstation 4 and no matter what I have done it has not fixed the issue. I use a mac mini for AirPort Utility and that is so I am able to adjust the settings on my Apple AirPort Extreme. I currently get a moderate NAT type but on Rainbow Six Siege I have a lot of errors connecting to other people and connecting to the servers. I have been looking all over the internet on how to solve this issue but nothing seems to be helpful. I hope someone can help me find a solution to this problem and it would be greatly appreciated.

Please read the doco from Tesserax on game console NAT problems.

PS3/4 Type 1 NAT (Apple Routers)

Using the Default Server is usually the most you can do.

Sony used Open NAT to virtually means no NAT at all.

The way this is achieved is to buy a block of IP public addresses which is not feasible for most people.

Their expectations of what normal router setup is in a network is totally unrealistic.

But unfortunately the problem hits people using Apple routers more than most because Apple refused to use UPNP which is great if no apple users had a game console.
