charging ipod shuffle

I have been trying to charge the ipod shuffle for nearly 3 days. the indicator light has never turned green. It stays amber, or blinks amber. Did I do something wrong? Help!!!

If it is less than a year old it is covered by the warranty and you can either send it in for service or take it to the Genius Bar at an Apple Store and have them look at it.

I'm having this exact problem - keeps charging, gets hot, not enough power to play 1 song after charge. I'm going to an Apple store Monday to get this addressed. I'll keep you all posted on how this goes. This is the second shuffle 2g that I'm having to return. It's a nice concept, but it is disappointingly problematic.
