Only one contact I call goes to voicemail

Long story short.. 2 parties both have iPhones. iMessage, calls and FaceTime were working perfectly fine. On a random day I call goes straight to voicemail, iMessage says delivered (other party does not receive it), call FaceTime says unavailable. According to the other party I'm not blocked.

If the other party calls, iMessage, FaceTime, I can receive them without a problem. I checked everything on my side and everything is fine. My network is fine, nothing in blocked, DND is off. I can call another person with an iPhone and my calls connect.

I did an experiment and changed my FaceTime to my email and I got through to the person. It frustrates me because each time I call this person, I have to turn off "show my caller id". I've been digging on the net and trying to figure out why this is happening. Could it be the network, we both have different cell providers. Before this problem everything was fine, now it's starting to bug me. I'd appreciate it, if someone could give me some clarity on this. I'm starting to get annoyed calling as a private number.

Sounds to me like they have blocked you. It may have been unintentional, but that's the behavior one would expect if they had.

Greetings redlola,

I understand that each time you call a specific contact using FaceTime, the call goes to voicemail. You were able to complete a call when you changed FaceTime to your email address, but you've also noticed that you have to turn off 'Show my Caller ID'. There is also an issue with your iMessages being received even though they say delivered.

Have you both tried a different network or physical location to see if you get the same result?

I also suggest taking a look at the steps in articles:

Get help if you can‘t make or receive FaceTime calls
If you can‘t send or receive messages on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

Once you've tried the steps in both articles, please let me know if you have the same issue.

Cheers.
