on my earphone it is written made in china? is it genuine? because on my friends earphone it is written made in vietnam.

As long as you bought it from a reputable source(Apple Store, Best Buy etc) they are genuine.

One of my headphones says made in China also.

I am not sure but some may be made in Vietnam as well.

The iPhones which are distributed from Ireland I.e Apple Hollyhill distribution will be named as made in Vietnam and earphones which are replaced are also Vietnam.
