Starbucks wallet pass not automatically updating

Hey all

I've noticed since the Starbucks apps 30th January update that the accompanying pass in wallet is not updating automatically. It will manually update when I turn on automatic update on and off and when i pull down the pass to update. Starbucks have said they cannot troubleshoot beyond the methods described above as wallet is a apple product. do you believe there is a bug within iOS that could be causing this since I have restored my iPhone from a backup for a unrelated issue and still have this issue.

iPhone 6s, iOS 10.2.1

I am not sure but it sounds like a problem with the Starbucks app. Since it was working before the January 30th update.



Follow low these steps:

If your passes don't update

A pass hasn’t updated if it shows you outdated information, like an old balance on a gift card. To update your pass, follow these steps:

  1. Make sure that you have an Internet connection.
  2. Pull down to refresh and update the pass.
  3. Tap User uploaded file on the pass and turn on Automatic Updates. If the pass doesn't update, force Wallet to close and then open it again.

If you still need help, contact the company or vendor that provided the pass.

FWIW, I have experienced the problem you have described. Since you have already contacted Starbucks, your other option is to let Apple know by using: iPhone Feedback.

thanks I'm not entirely sure how long the problem has persisted whether it was from the last iOS update or the last app update since I have noticed it in the last week or so and have updated other apps (like the KFC colonels club though they pushed out a update about a week later and haven't used that since) since the last iOS update which have updated themselves whereas one have never automatically updated themselves (the subway subcard).

yeah I've been getting that since the 4th April update. I have already contacted Starbucks here in the UK about it and they have said they are aware of it and will push out a new update soon.
