How can I see my contact picture?

So I updated my phone and my contact picture for my iPhone SE went away. I had my contact picture before I updated, then it went away. I have checked my settings and went to the messages where it says there's supposed to be a button you can use to turn it on in your messages but there's no option for me. So I made a new iCloud account, factory reset, and restored my phone. I still don't have the option.? Did they take it away from the iPhone SE? Please help!!
