Thank you. I think iDVD generally works for a straight forward import of a movie because it burned the first mini movies test I did. None of those had the MetaDoctor chapters however.
My goal was to have the scene selections as before. MetaDoctor works great because the scene selections appear in iDVD when importing the .mov quick time file. But the problem is burning to a DVD (or disc image) from there.
I just did the same test but this time I did a "save as" to disc image. But before that, I went in and removed the loop videos in each menu page and replaced the image with a .jpg photo. However, the disc image process also failed. It must be the movie then with the coded chapter markers. This is a bummer.
If I choose eventually not to have scene selections anymore, iDVD will probably burn to a DVD fine as long as the movie is not too long. I will test my original movie out using my earlier file (without the chapter markers) into iDVD and save to disc image and see what happens.
