Logic 10.3.1 kills Amplitube 3 - what now

Updating to Logic 10.3.1 has killed all pre-existing projects with Amplitube 3 plug-ins. I am on Sierra 10.12.3 and the standalone version opens fine.

When trying to load the plug in, Logic says:

"Failed to load Audio Unit AmpliTube 3, please contact the manufacturer for an updated version or further assistance."

I contacted IK Multimedia and their response was:

Hello, Thanks for your email.

This is the newest Logic X update causing this.

Amplitube 3 is discontinued and no further updates will happen for this plug in. You will need to update to Amplitube 4.

Will Apple fix this in 10.3.2 please?! Amplitube 4 will not load sessions that have version 3 -- I can't get the existing settings to load in 4! Everything was fine in 10.2

I had the same issue: updated Logic, and now one of my tracks with so much Amplitube automation doesn't work.

So, I picked up Amplitube 4, installed it, and was really hoping that once I opened my session & loaded my saved channel preset, Amplitube 4 would automatically replace 3. This did not occur.

Does anyone know how I could do this: bring up the saved Amplitube 3 settings, but now using Amp. 4 (again, I saved my entire channel strip as opposed to just the Amp. 3 settings).
