Apple ID (for game center) on another device, two factor authentication

Hello all,

There are times where a family member would like to use my iPhone to log into their game center account and play a game. Whenever they log into their game center account on my iPhone, the two factor authentication code must be input, which means we must go find one of their trusted devices to get the code. They play their game, then give my phone back, so I log out of their account and back into my game center account. The next time they want to do this, we have to repeat the entire 2FA process over again (even if it is a couple minutes later). This is assuming we have one of their trusted devices available.

Is it possible, and if so... Where can they set my phone as a "permanently trusted device" on their Apple ID so that the next time this happens, the 2FA doesn't prevent them from logging into their game center account on my device?

Thanks for your time!

They could add your phone's phone number to their list of trusted phone numbers. Then when the request comes to your phone for a verification code, they could tap didn't get a verification code and request an SMS to your phone which is now a trusted "device". They don't have to go get their trusted device now.

Having said that... I agree with Zinacef... that really defeats the purpose of 2FA for all of you. Any hacks or workarounds to give them easy access to your device and more importantly, account, has risks.

If they have a trusted device, why don't they play the game there? I am guessing you have a larger display.

Thank you Zinacef and LACAllen. To do what I am asking, I think they would have to turn off 2FA on their account.

Yes, they want to use the larger display, I have the 7+, they have an iPhone 5. As far as I know, there isn't a way to have multiple people use the same device (family sharing a device but playing their own game accounts). I like the idea of the text messages to my phone as an option for obtaining the code.

Thanks again.

Nope.

Designed to be single user devices. remember... it's a phone behind all the games.

Get a refurbed iPad Mini 2 to play games on. the second they damage your iPhone 7, you'll wish you had.

In the US Apple store, they are usually $270 for the 16GB wifi only model.
