Notification Center Calendar Display

I use my iCal as a task management system/ to -do list. With the update to Sierra when I view the cal in the notification center I am not able to see my tasks that are only 15 min...

Is there a way to fix this?

Mac Pro, iOS 9.3.4

When you created an event in calendar ( in day view ) and right clicked on the event > click on get info > show .

If you used I cloud services to create an account : Keep your Calendar up to date with iCloud - Apple Support

On your Mac:

Open Calendar (or iCal).
Click Calendar in the menu bar and choose Preferences.
In the General tab, choose the calendar that you want to use from the Default Calendar menu.

On iCloud.com:

Go to Calendar > > Preferences.
Choose the calendar that you want to use from the Defaults menu.
Click Save.
