My AirPods are paired with my Acer PC but the playback is still coming through the PC speaker and not the AirPods. If anyone can give me any suggestions, I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you.

What are you using to play the music, iTunes? If that is the case, just to the right of the volume control in iTunes, there is an icon that you use to select the audio output. You would need to select the AirPods there.
Then you would probably need to make sure that you can output that type of audio through Bluetooth on the computer. Go to the Bluetooth settings on the computer or the audio/speaker settings to see that you have a place to select the Bluetooth connection for output.
How is this digital audio device connected to the computer? It may be that as an external device, it does not connect to the Bluetooth output on the computer.
What version of Windows is the CPU running?
I am using Windows 8.1 64 bit. I cannot figure out how I can get these to play on my computer.

I am trying to use them to listen to transcription on a digital voice device that right now plays through my headphone jack and/or computer speaker.
When you paired the airpods did you make sure to add them as a device and let the drivers completely download? Have you checked to see if there is any type of driver update available?
