Logic Remote latency or not responding at all

Hi everyone, I'm having huge latency issues with my Logic Remote.

The latency occurs as soon as I start recording and often the remote doesn't even respond. I'm working with an iPad 3rd generation 9.3.5, and running Logic Pro X 10.3.1 on a brand new MacBookPro 10.12.3 plus having super fast WIFI. I tried Bluetooth but that doesn't make a difference.

I've searched in other forums, and it seems like people have this problem but there is no solution. Can someone help me, please? 🙂 Thank you!!

Hi Helena,

Seems like it is hit and miss with Logic Remote, it works fantastic with my Macbook Air, yet on my main computer it just stops responding every few seconds, waste of time! and thats a really hi spec computer with fast wifi too.

I am not gonna bother with it. Its not needed anyway!

Nice to have a midi Keyboard Helena,

For me, personally, the Logic Remote is just a load of hassle, with my main computer anyway.

With my smaller spec Macbook Air, exactly the same OS and same Logic version, Logic remote is fine!

Definitely go the keyboard route, do your homework and make sure the keyboard you purchase is fully Mac/Logic compatible.

Thanks for your advice! I was hoping to use the app until I get a midi keyboard. But if you say it's not worth using it, then I just get a midi straight away.
