Mac laptop got water damage, now a section of the screen is flipped

Hi all,

My MacBook got wet in a rainstorm. I followed guidance to dry it completely and wait a few days before turning on. Seems to be working ok, except a two inch strip on the left of the screen is distorted and inverted - it still functions, but flipped in reverse. See pic attached. Could this be a damaged cable inside, and possible to fix? Many thanks!

Hello Amymacbne,

After reviewing your post, it sounds like your MacBook got wet and now has a problem with part of the display. Since this happened after water was introduced to the computer, you may want to get the device serviced. I would recommend you read these articles and use them to help troubleshoot the issue.
