Alphabetizing icons on iPad Home screen

I have used the procedure for alphabetizing the icons on my iPad Home screen, but there are still sixteen icons that have not been alphabetized: FaceTime, Calendar, Photos, Camera, Contacts, Clock, Maps, Home, TV, Notes, Reminders, News, iTunes Store, App Store, iBooks. and Settings.

Yes, these sixteen icons have been alphabetized, but there are now TWO lists of alphabetized icons, one containing sixteen icons and one containing over EIGHTY. Isn't there a way to have ONE list of ALL alphabetized icons?

Oh, as long as I'm on this subject, is there a way to alphabetize all of the icons on my iMac Home page? I don't think there is, but I might be wrong.

The 16 icons that are alphabetized separately are the pre-installed apps, The others are the one's you installed. Probably the easiest thing to do would be to move those 16 to where you want them manually.

What do you mean by "iMac home page"? Do you mean the Finder? If so, go to the View Menu>Sort By>Name.

(1) Your iPad fix sounds reasonable. Dragging 16 icons won't be too much trouble.

(2) iMac Home screen: Hmm, I'll have to think about it. I do know that there was a time when icons for all of the apps in my iMac would appear together on the screen. That's what I was calling the Home screen. I also remember that there was an app that you had to pay for that would enable you to alphabetize all of them with one click. I'll have to see if I can get that screen back. I don't remember right now, but I'm sure that I will be able to find it again.

I found the icons with LAUNCHPAD. Now I'm going to see if I can find them without it. Launchpad is a 3rd- party app, isn't it?

ADDITIONAL: Launchpad is, or was, an Apple application. I also had Launchpad Manager. I'm now trying to see if it was ever updated beyond Yosemite.

FINAL, FINAL

I finally managed to reinstall Launchpad Manager, and it's now working as it should. Of course, I had to pay $7.99 AGAIN, but I'm not going to worry about that. Incidentally, it's called Launchpad Manager Yosemite (Pro Version ), but it works for El Capitan and Sierra.
