All of my mailboxes with my stored emails has disappeared from the sidebar in Mail. How do I get them back? Thanks

Open mail , take your cursor towards right in on my Mac section and click on show .

Try re-indexing the mailboxes. This can take awhile if you have a lot of mail.
Reindex messages For El Capitan, try looking in V3. Sierra use V4

They were all showing, then they disappeared and do not come back up even when I re-open Mail.
Ok, now how do I get them to show up all the time like they used to?
None of the personal mailboxes are showing up - the ones I created.
I finally totally force quit Mail and then reopened. My mailboxes were all there. Thanks to everyone who responded 🙂
