Fuzzy lines on Macbook Pro screen.

After I downloaded the latest version of MacOS Sierra, I purchased the Microsoft Office 2016. While it's downloading, fuzzy or distorted lines appeared. Then it disappeared after 3 or 5 minutes. Then on the next day, while the Mac was powering on, the lines appeared again. What is the problem with my Mac. It's a 13-inch non-retina model.

Thanks for replying. I haven't tried anything yet. Actually, I am new to Macbook. I'm planning to take my MBP to the store I bought it from. What does the NVRAM reset do? Does it reset the Mac to its factory settings? Will it remove the Microsoft Office 2016 I just purchased?

A visit to an Apple genius bar is always a good option. Click on the link that I provided and it will tell you how to reset the NVRAM and what it does. It will NOT have any affect on the Microsoft application, so do not worry.

Looks like garbled video which means problems with the graphics card. Are you still under guarantee or have AppleCare? Best to have Apple look at it.

Thanks. I didn't purchase AppleCare. But, it's still under warranty which is about to expire a couple of weeks from today. So I should just take the MBP to the store to have it checked.
