my messages are not coming to me in order. i have also lost all of my messages and cannot find them in my cloud.

" ... cannot find them in my cloud." It sounds like you have incorrect expectations.

Messages would be saved in iCloud if and only if you have turned on iCloud backup, and created such a backup. The messages would be in the backup and only accessible if you restored this backup. Restoring an iCloud backup restores the entire iPhone to the state it was in when the backup was created.

I've been experiencing the exact same-deleting of messages, and now texts are out of order as they are received. I noticed this happening as my phone battery was not charging properly or keeping a charge. I have since replaced the phone, but all the texts remain lost, and still coming in out of order. I cannot find anything in settings to change this. Does anyone know how to adjust the order of texts coming through?

the same exact thing just happened to me. All of my text/imessages started to disappear, the message icon is missing from my icloud , and I started to receive text messages with the newest ones on the bottom. Is there anyway to correct this & do you know why this happened?

APPLE...do you have any answers? This is happening to multiple people and with replaced phones. Is it a bug that needs fixed or a setting that can be changed? Someone from Apple please answer this issue!!

I have experienced the same thing since May 18th. I called Apple and they had not heard of such a thing....really? My text messages disappeared after the update. At this point I didn't have the icloud set up. So I already had an itunes backup. I then erased my phone, restored from my last backup and all my texts were there so it seemed. Actually it was every text thread but ONLY the last text sent. no previous conversations. Then I had issues with my voicemails disappearing. After erasing and restoring my phone several times, I finally go it back to normal. I setup my icloud and performed a backup. One day I turned my phone off and turned it back on(a normal thing to do..right!), it deleted my old original voicemails from my backup and pulled up the most current ones. My text messages were all deleted prior to my backup restore. All the ones after May 18th appeared. It's as if I have 2 different phones on one phone....if that makes sense. Could it be that when I turned my phone off and on, it pulled from the icloud instead of what I restored from my itunes backup? I have an iphone 6.

Were you ever able to find a resolution? I can't figure it what to do! My phone got wet and I thought that was the reason.... but when I got a new phone it all uploaded like this to the new one!
