No, they don't. Samsung dropped it in the S8, LG dropped it in their latest model and the Pixel 2 does not have it. I checked before I posted.

The only current Google phone is the Pixel 2 and it does not have IR. The Galaxy S8 and the current LG also dropped IR. So I guess all the major cell phone makers fumbled in your opinion.
