I'm using Windows 10 on a brand new PC and when I try and run iTunes I get an error message saying missing component -45075 please reinstall or repair.
I've attempted both repair and installation multiple times with the same error.

Just received a reply from apple absolute crap. I did actually uninstall AVG as a member of the public pointed out and it worked but considering this is a program used by millions of people why don't APPLE just come clean and tell everybody. 😁
Anti-virus signatures can be updated multiple times a day, and there are multiple vendors. Apple cannot possibly test every possible installation scenario to see which third party software currently causes a problem.

I would have thought with a very specific error 45075, and issues going back to 2013, that someone would have a specific answer to the problem.

In that case perhaps you'll need to disable or uninstall AVG, and then start again from the top. 😐

OK, thanks all. The AVG uninstall step is the key. I had been disabling it thinking that would be enough but I have done a full uninstall of AVG and then Itunes installed without any issues!

Had same error, I disabled AVG and uninstalled I tunes. Restarted PC and right clicked to Run as Administrator and that did the job.

Thank you. Uninstalling AVG enabled the installation to proceed smoothly. AVG has become increasingly flaky running on Windows 10. Time to find another antivirus package.
