Magic Keyboard connected but not typing

I come in this morning and fire up my computer and it comes on. Mouse connects, keyboard connects. It doesn't light up, and I test it with the caps lock button still doesn't light up. I get a USB keyboard out login and go through all the settings. It shows connected on bluetooth but will not type. I have searched and searched and cannot find an answer that fixes this issue.

The keyboard is charged.

The keyboard is connected to the mac.

The keyboard doesn't light up (even with caps lock on)

The keyboard's power switch is green (showing on)

My question is there a fix? If not, will an apple store check it out, fix it, replace it, etc. if they cannot fix it?

iMac, macOS Sierra (10.12.3), Magic Keyboard
