iOS 10.3 HTML emails appear too small font

I updated to 10.3 and post that few of my email(html) appear too small and it's hard to read them. Even on zoom, the text doesn't get organised to the screen and instead I have to swipe across to read each line. It looks more like a desktop version of email

What I tried so far

1) Reset and then setup as new iphone

2) Reset using itunes, and added just one email account and still the same. I did not restore any back up

3) Rolled back to 10.2 and it was all fine again

My problem now is I can't stay at 10.3 since my watch won't pair as I had updated watchOS too. So my watch now pairs only with 10.3. I reached out to apple and they don't have any solution

Even if you downgrade to 10.2, still Apple forces you to upgrade by popping a notification everyday. Also if the phone is connected to wifi, the iOS is automatically downloaded and there is no way to stop it. It happened with me and I am forcefully using 10.3.1. Also apple has discontinued certificates for 10.2. So any updates to any apps on appstore may not work well with 10.2.

I also have the same issue. I had opened a different thread because I had not come across this one. Glad I found this one as S.Shahid was able to find mine and linked me to this. Its very frustrating and I too cannot downgrade to 10.2.1. So I am stuck with this version. I have advised my kids to NOT upgrade until this is fixed. My wife and I already upgraded so we are still stuck. Would love an update or a 10.3.2 very soon! We can only hope I guess!

That's strange and probably it's not a problem everyone is facing then and that's why not many people are talking about it!!!

I have been using iOS since 6.1 and never faced this problem till I updated to 10.3 and so far whosoever I checked on 10.3, everyone is seeing the same issue.

So when you reported this problem in 10.0, when did it get fixed? And are you seeing the problem again?

Hi Shahid - as far as I'm concerned, this has never been fixed and I've been living with it since that horrible day I updated to iOS 10. I want to smash my phone every time I check my corporate email ever since.

I've read all possible forums about this issue and it appears that Apple had a similar problem briefly either in iOS 8 or early versions of iOS 9 and managed to fix it then. So there must a solution to this - it just looks like they fired the guy who fixed it back then!

There are more issues with the email client in iOS 10, not just small font - see my earlier posts in this thread: https://discussions.apple.com/thread/7667124?answerId=31671976022#31671976022&ac_cid=tw123456#31671976

This is the feedback I sent a few months ago - Apple hasn't budged!

Ever since I've updated to iOS 10, non-plain text emails appear in small Times New Roman font instead of the iOS default font (San Francisco) in the native Mail app.

In addition, the auto-resize/auto-zoom-and-fit functions (activated by double-tapping on the text) are not working properly, sometimes instead resulting in different parts of the text overlapping each other and making the entire email impossible to read.

Finally, enclosed emails (emails attached to another email) are very difficult to read as there is a scrolling issue when the text moves only a few lines at a time.

I know these are common issues for everyone and were allegedly fixed in iOS 10.1 update, but the problems obviously still persist and render the Mail app practically unusable (especially on 4-inch models like iPhone 5/SE).

These problems did not exist in iOS 9 and surely have a solution, but there is very little feedback from Apple on when these will be finally fixed and whether Apple is actually working on them, which is very, very frustrating and turning business users away from your products.

Apple has become an 800 pound Gorilla. They can care less about the productivity problems their IOS updates have. I was really surprised myself they didn't address in 10.3.2. Our corporate IT is being inundated by complaints of Sales Reps not able to read emails. They are now looking to abandon IOS, move to Windows and/or Android. Shameful in many ways Apple treats the very same people that built their company this way. Maybe Apple can't read the complaints because their font size is too small
