Outboard Gear Setup

Hi,

I would like to try the Outboard Gear Processing for my recorded audio like Vocal and Bass Guitar.

I normally have my clean recording on both, then processed and toning via plugins. And I would like to use some outboard gears like Compressor, EQ, Bass Amp Head...for that.

Question :

What's the basic setup/chain should I do for a single track?

Hopefully my question is clear, haha...

Assuming you have a multi in/out interface, you use an i/o plugin from the utility folder to route audio to and from the outboard unit. You can adjust for latency with the ping function. Use a bus to route audio to an aux assigned to the right output. On tracks use a send assigned to the bus to send to the effect.
