NIGHT SHIFT issue on Mac Pro with 2 external monitors

Hi, I have issue with my Mac Pro (6,1/6c/16GB/D500/256GB) and two external monitors(1-PHILIPS BDM4065uc and 2-EIZO EV233W). The issue is that when I startup with only main monitor (1), there is no Night Shift (NS) switch in Preferences/Displays or in the Notification center, BUT the colors on the monitor are WARM! Even though I did not able NS and restart/power up from state where NS was turned off. But when I turn on second monitor(2), the NS switch magically show up in Notification Center AND in the Preferences/Displays/EV2333W window (but still not at PHL BDM4065). So I switch on nad off the NS to get normal (colder) colors on both monitors.

BUT when I turn off the second monitor(2) I get warm colors on my main monitor(1) back and the NS switch disappear!!!

note:

I definitelly don't want NS function at all. I'm working with videos and I don't need any color changes since I made color calibration on both monitors..

Have some of you experienced something familiar or does anybody work out any solution (terminal command for disabling NS etc.)..?

Thanks guys.

I had a similar recent problem on my Mac Pro (Late 2013). I have a 40" Crossover 4K monitor connected via Display port to Mac Pro. Worked fine on 10.12.3. After update to 10.12.4, Night Shift mode was enabled after restart, but no way to turn it off via Display control panel as Night Shift control tabs not shown. I reported problem to Apple via Chat support. They suggested doing a NVRAM reset, but that made no difference. I decided to revert back to 10.12.3 from a backup I had and told Apple I'd wait until next Mac OS 10.12.x release to see if fixed. They said OK and that's where it currently stands.

Good luck with getting your system working properly or finding override fix.

Hello,

issues with nightshift here as well. My main monitor (a 2000+ Euros Eizo ColorEdge) looks like it loses calibration.

I have to manually open nightshift panel and, with this wonderfully useless feature still disabled, move the slider to one side and then reposition it at the center. After that operation, my panel goes back to its normal color.

Even if I understand the uttermost importance of following the natural flow of time and match the subtle nuances of changing light during the day, there must be a way to totally disable those features we don't need, nor want.

A Mac fan for many, many, many years, lately I'm really disappointed. If I want an iPhone OS to play with, I have my iPhone already.

Sorry for the rant and have a great day.

Professional monitors are regularly calibrated using expensive software, hardware and work time. I don't care if they are not supported. I don't want them to be supported.

The fact you can't completely disable Nightshift is simple, pure and inconsiderate folly.

Refer to ISO 3664:2009 "Graphic technology and photography -- Viewing conditions" for more informations.

Thank you anyway for you advice.
